Early Impressionist Studies
Early experiments in oil painting, exploring direct observation, light, colour, and expressive brushwork.
Painted between 1986 & 1987, these works reflect my first encounters with Impressionist approaches,
from the atmospheric landscapes of Turner to the light and colour of French Impressionism.
After the Masters
These early oil paintings reflect my first attempts to develop my artistic perception through oil painting — entirely self-taught and with limited resources. Working with inexpensive materials and learning everything through observation and experimentation, I explored different subjects, techniques, and artistic languages between 1984 & 1987.
